I started writing this after Avitable made a comment somewhere saying that he hated “having bloggers use cute little names” on their Blog. Since I’m guilty of this, and I wouldn’t want anyone googling Lovely Wife’s name and discovered that she’s married with this insane clown, the cute little names are here to stay. But I can provide background on each of the characters…

The Main Crew

This is my blog – mine, mine mine! – the place where you can read all about me and what strikes my fancy at the moment. My soapbox, my personnal forum, my private/public tribune… Sensitive eyes and tiny minds refrain form reading! If you know me in real life, the stuff that I post here might interest you – but it’s far from the Caramilk’s secret. If you don’t know me, odds are my daily ramblings don’t matter much to you, but as long as you made it all the way to my little corner of the Web, why not read a few posts and leave a few comments? Shouldn’t you be working anyways?

LovelyWife / LW

I met Lovely Wife when I was 20 and she was 15. Hold on, hold on. I just had turned 20 a couple of months back and she turned 16 a few weeks after I met her. Oh wait, that doesn’t make anything better. Anyways. When I first saw her, she was wearing a red hoodie, a green and black hunter’s jacket on top, black jeans. She had red make-up on her left eye, and had a sink stopper around her neck. I leaned over to my friend Snuggle, and told him: “I’m going to marry this girl”. I knew right away.

I took me two months to get her to go out with me (the infamous Delicatessen experience), five months later we were moving in together in Montreal and never looked back. We bought a car the next summer and we got married on November 25, 2005, on our 4th year anniversary as a couple (hey, I’m not good with remembering anniversaries, I need to put all the chances on my side).

We have two kids, live in the Gatineau/Ottawa region.

LovelyWife gets me. She’s probably the only person I can’t shock in any way, shape or form. For example, she probably paid no attention to the ”reason I drink so much” joke up there. She expects it.

I don’t run anything by Lovely Wife before I write it here, but I might drop a few hints at the dinner table to check for any reaction. In fact, I use quite often the “I’m blogging about this” line. Sometimes it makes her laugh, sometimes I know that the face she makes means I should’nt publish whatever crazy thing she’s doing.

Who am I kidding, I’m whippped.   

Zadorables

We have two kids. Zoé’s almost 10 now – although she likes to be called “Zoey” in English – and Isaac, 7 at the moment – he likes Zak for his English persona. They’re both the joy of my life, and they’re both cuter than the other, smarter than the other and bigger than otters (how am I going to translate this I wonder!). I often talk about the Zadorables when they make me laugh, make me cry of make me proud. It often happens around the same event, oddly enough.

PreTeenDaughter – PTD

Zoey is my little sensitive Barbie girl. She likes to read, put on some make up, dance. She’s very sensitive and will cry when she’s sad or happy. She tears up when school is out for the summer – because her teacher announced she was not coming back next year – and will cry when September rolls around – because she’s happy she’ll see her friends again. Her newest on line incarnation is PreTeenDaughter (PTD).

Zak is my little smartypants sportsy guy. He likes to run, jump, cartwheel, and he doesn’t mind being covered in band-aids.  He is fascinated by the written language, and can spend hours reading, especially the “Zelda: Twighlight Princess”. He invents jokes and puns, and is quick to call you on flawed logic. His newest on line incarnation is AudaciousSon (AS).
