Diptych – Blue

Clicking here takes you to the Diptych Set on Flickr – where you can see the rejected pictures!
The theme of the project is Diptych and the idea is that every week Finn and Ren will each take a picture based on a predetermined theme and then we will display both pictures together on their blogs.
I’ll try my best to keep up with them. ![]()

Very nice.
Looking at this picture makes me wonder if I have some sort of condition that leads me to favor right-sided shots, because the thing I notice most about this shot is that the tree is on the left. I have similar shots, but off hand I can’t think of a single one with the tree on the left.

@Ren: I like left to right shots, because they “move forward” in my mind. Does that make sense?
@Sybil Law: Thanks!
@BPR: Yay!

Yes, that makes a lot of sense, and I do have left-to-right shots of my kids playing soccer and other motion or even looking shots. But I don’t seem to have them of inanimate, non-directional subjects (though I haven’t really confirmed that).

@Ren: Well, in the above shot, I was thinking “spring”, so the tree is growing. If it had been fall, I probably would’ve shot it right to left.
I know, I’m slightly crazy. Don’t hate.
