To move to the USA.

I hate it when I see that!

I bet you if there was a Canadian Hulu – Most probably called Eh-lu – you would see a fairly different message:

Stoopid CRTC.

    I don’t understand why Hulu restricts content for Canada. It’s so stupid.

    @Avitable: It’s because of the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC). They ruled that Canadians have to always have access to 50% (not sure of the %) of Canadian content regardless of the medium. As long as Hulu doesn’t present Canadian content, it won’t be accessible in Canada. It really has nothing to do with Hulu, really.

    I don’t understand. So whatever medium is presented in Canada, a certain percentage of it has to contain Canadian generated content?

    And shows like Smallville and Supernatural, shot in Vancouver, don’t count, I’m guessing. :)

    @Avitable: Yes. And shows shot in Vancouver would count if they were Canadian shows. For example, the X-Files would count – even if they were considered Canadian/American.

    Utilise un serveur proxy fantôme, tu vas pouvoir avoir une adresse US et visionner tous les contenus. J’utilise cette technique pour regarder les South park sur le sire web. Google tunnel, tu vas trouver facillement

    Hulu isn’t blocked because of the CRTC. Hulu is blocked because of Geoblocking – has to do with advertising dollars.
