The Week-End in Review

Lots going on last week-end.

Saturday

LovelyWife had some people over from her workplace. I told her we should invite them more often, that we we wouldn’t have to clean-up like crazy everytime they came over.

We had great food – we ate from 8pm until midnight, great wine – except that fortified wine “Le Confessionnal”  from la Halte des Pèlerins, and then we played Guitar Hero 5 until 3 in the morning. It was fun.

Sunday

We rested. Really. We’re old. ;-)

So, how was your week-end? How do you keep track of the wines you like – do you have a notebook, an on-line thing, something else? I’m thinking I should start to keep some sort of record of the stuff I like and dislike. Also, how often do you have to get people to visit your house before you stop cleaning like a madperson when they come over?

My weekend was awesome – I tried a new wine that I liked so much I drank the whole bottle myself (oops.) No, I can’t name it. But I’d recognize it if I saw it. That’s how I go with most wines I like. I learn what the bottle looks like. It works better with some bottles than others ;)

I pretty much always clean like a madwoman when we have friends over. No matter how many times they’ve been over.

I plead the fifth on the house cleaning thing.

    I also don’t drink alcohol.

    I’m kind of boring.

I did walk 25 miles this weekend for Relay for Life. I’m also kind of sore. But not as sore as I thought I would be.

I don’t drink wine but I’d just take the label with me to the store so I could make sure I got the right one.

That’s how I make sure I get the right foundation – take the empty with me to the store to get a replacement.

I don’t clean before people come over – as long as the toilet is reasonably clean and there aren’t any sex toys laying around, we’re all good. Way too many other things to deal with than worry about whether someone may be offended by the cheerios that are constantly strewn about on the floor. Unless it’s an important event where there will be a lot of people over, screw it.
