Ahem.
Last Friday, I posted a cool thing I found on Threadless.com.
On Monday, iWeb sent an e-mail to Hébergement CMS Outaouais saying LeSombre.ca has to be moved to its very own server, as it was using more than 2% of the server’s ressources.
I didn’t get it, I have unlimited bandwidth, and I’m only using 27% of the HDD space I’m paying for.
We exchanged a few emails back and forth, and after a while, Hébergement CMS decided to get their own server instead of the co-location model they were following.
Turns out my post was just really popular. Look at my Woopra stats:
I’ve been stumbled upon a few times too…
This post is popular. As a point of comparison, my home page has 131 views.
How insane is that? My most popular post is basically something I took somewhere else and posted on my blog.
I feel so cheap. I guess tomorrow’s post will have to be better on its own.
On the other hand, not having to get a dedicated server is much less expensive.
Maybe I’ll just post my shopping list then. Who would want to stumble that?

You’ve been stumbled? Sounds dirty. Me likey.

Isn’t it funny how the most mundane stuff ends up going viral?
I think its funny.
Although I don’t think paying for a dedicated server is funny.

LOL – that explains why I’ve been getting so many hits to my site from yours then… My comment on that post has been creating lots of traffic. Too bad I barely update right now…

@SheilaCSR: I’d like to get stumbled more often.
@NYCWD: Well, my Host is kind enough not to charge me more at this point, but we’ll see…
@Suze: See my trick is just to take something I find and republish it. You can do it too.
Does this mean you have to pay royalties to the person you lifted that info from?
As for Woopra, it’s a great tool for keeping track of who’s visiting your site.

@MartyMankins: Well, since I did quote the source, I don’t think I have to. Right? Please tell me I’m right.
Have you tried WP-Super-Cache plugin? It drastically reduces bandwidth and CPU utilization on wordpress sites and I love it.
