There’s a hole in my heart

That can only be filled by you.

Actually, there’s a hole in my ceiling that can only be fixed by me.

Not bad, huh? And that’s after only eight hours of work. I’m sure you want to see more of my gaping hole, right? Follow me after the jump…

So, it didn’t start with that nicely temporarily patched hole . This is what it looked like after I almost finished ripping out the drywall wetceiling.

That looks great, doesn’t it? Just imaging how many ceiling cats could watch me masturbate from that hole.

Holy Crap! Just one, but it’s a massive one!

Next weekend, insulation, drywall. The weekend after: Painting.

What I want to know is how that hole GOT there! And I’d also like finished photos, please.
    (That huge cat is hilarious!)

@Sybil Law: Actually, the original hole was not bigger than my index finger, when it went through the ceiling as I was “testing it”. I ended up taking a 48″ x 42″ section to get rid of every bit of drywall that was wet, and a little more. Pictures of the finished repairs will be posted when I finish it. We’re now in the “let’s let the 2×4 dry” mode. ;-)

  2. So did you want me to answer Sybil’s question about why there is a hole in your ceiling?

Leaky plumbing. Not the kind that mama’s get post-baby. The other kind.

Anyway, I’m proud of you for not taking the lazy way out. (i.e. The way I would have.)

  3. I was wondering why your ceiling was wet too. I thought maybe a roof leak. It’s good that you cut all of that out because the mold most likely would’ve made all of you sick. Is that an LOLCat in your ceiling?

Damn it. I saw the first picture and had my comment all ready. “But is the ceiling cat watching you masturbate?”

Then you had to go and ruin it with your later pictures!

There’s a hole in my head where the rain comes in …

I’m not familiar with the song you quoted — and Janelle hates it anyway — so I thought I’d toss some ELO out.

It looks like you’ve got a nice start with the hole. And I appreciate the need to make something the size of a finger much, much larger to “do it right.” (A woman doesn’t always understand that. And it’s not just an Evil Woman who might lack that kind of understanding.)
