Actually, there’s a hole in my ceiling that can only be fixed by me.

So, it didn’t start with that nicely temporarily patched hole . This is what it looked like after I almost finished ripping out the drywall wetceiling.

That looks great, doesn’t it? Just imaging how many ceiling cats could watch me masturbate from that hole.
Holy Crap! Just one, but it’s a massive one!
Next weekend, insulation, drywall. The weekend after: Painting.
What I want to know is how that hole GOT there! And I’d also like finished photos, please.

@Sybil Law: Actually, the original hole was not bigger than my index finger, when it went through the ceiling as I was “testing it”. I ended up taking a 48″ x 42″ section to get rid of every bit of drywall that was wet, and a little more. Pictures of the finished repairs will be posted when I finish it. We’re now in the “let’s let the 2×4 dry” mode.
So did you want me to answer Sybil’s question about why there is a hole in your ceiling?
Leaky plumbing. Not the kind that mama’s get post-baby. The other kind.

I was wondering why your ceiling was wet too. I thought maybe a roof leak. It’s good that you cut all of that out because the mold most likely would’ve made all of you sick. Is that an LOLCat in your ceiling?
